Winnie in Wonderland secret book - Polkadoodles crafting

What is the use of a book, without pictures or conversations?

A great big Happy Sunday
I am super excited to share with you a project that I have been working on
But shhhhhhhh it's hiding
I sooooo enjoyed making my Hidden compartment book - I have never made one before - absolutly perfect for Winnie in Wonderland
I made the shell of the book to start cut on my portrait, pretty easy so far ....The papers from the collection made this a doddle really , just looksie at the paper I used for the spine that was so made for my book!!
Cheshire Cat: “I’m not crazy. My reality is just different than yours.”

Once together I debated on what to pop in the hidden compartment it had to contain a mini Hat - If you are a follower of my blog I made a huge hat a week or so back (you can find that here) - Of course it must be possible to shrink it right down, according to my hubby not a chance - Of course this made me even more determined and eventullay a little hat was born!
For a little fun, here is a comparison photo!
Here is the rest of my hidden goodies all miniture so they fit inside the book

You can just see the fun I am having with the Winnie in Wonderland collection
Thank you so much for stopping by
Have a great day

Winnie in Wonderland - Polkadoodles Crafting

Happy Saturday to you all
Sharing with you today a little project I made using the lush
Winnie in Wonderland collection

“Alice:How long is forever?
White Rabbit:Sometimes, just one second.”

I cut the bow on my portrait and used the lovely collection to decorate.
(You can find the bow template here - although mine was made into a hanging bow and not the card)
I laminated the playing cards and bottle to give a little shine
I love all the incredible characters and the lovely elements

I used some trim lace on the bottom and some black spotted ribbon  to hang the bow by.
And finished off using lots of different coloured liquid pearls ( I seem to have a thing for these at the moment )
Thanks for stopping by , Enjoy your day xx

One for the Boys - Polkadoodles Crafting

Happy Friday Everyone!
Here today for
*One for The Boys*

Something a little different for me this week , Stamping!! After all these years of saying I could'nt stamp - I followed all the Underlay sheets on Summertime . I now adore stamping so much!
I used stamps from both the new collections for my little scene Summertime and Daisydays I used the stamps to make the fishing rod, fish , fish hook, bubbles and trees and also the sentiment. Trees and grass were coloured in watercolours, The sky was done in pastels and the water using Graph'It Markers along with mix it fluid and a dish cloth .

My second card this week I used the lovely beachhut digi from Summertime and coloured using Graph'It Markers - for the sky and sand I used pastels The shell and the boat were made using a couple of leaf stamps from the stamps from Daisydays.

Daisydays/Summertime - Polkadoodles Crafting

Who saw our lovely Nikky on Create and Craft today
A fabulous show as ever

If you missed it you can catch it for the next few days
and hey I was lucky to be chosen to be the Guinea Pig
I loved it and learnt so much!

I have never really grasped the concept of Stamping and always veered down the Digi route

For those that know me - would know I ooohhhed and arrred at all Polkadoodles adorable stamps exspecially since the soups came along
I loved what everyone was making with them and sometimes felt a little sad I could not join in with them as I could have so many ideas bursting but not a clue where to start.

But then along came Summertime and Daisydays
complete with Underlay sheets - I was to be Nikky Guinea Pig

I was hugley nervous and even when they arrived through the post - I sat them neatly on my desk and admired from afar (stroking them every now and again)

I will never ever forget that Saturday afternoon - I quickly skimmed through all the Underlays and I honestly thought never in a million years! Nikky has got to be having a laugh!

Omg ink pad at the ready printed out Underlay one and that was it I was off
At first I was very slow but I couldnt belive once my first was completed - I was addicted
I really wanted to stamp more so printed of the next * In hindsight I should not of rushed through to looking at them all and scaring myself* I realised taking it one sheet at a time was the way forward and that is how I worked - I learnt something new on every page and also learnt how the stamps worked together- When I had finished I had 9 lovely card toppers and more than anything I could stamp - I loved working the underlays they have been put together with so much thought, that even an experienced stamper would have a lot of fun with them
My crafting life has dramatically changed as I now have the confidence and am able to stamp.
Ink pads and such filled me with dread and it really did not matter how much I practised I was pants!
Scatty Jan the Stamper has a nice ring to it don't you think?
The first two Photos are from the Underlay Sheets , My underwater scene is when I went it alone ...eeekk
